Zebra expanded the core Mildliner range to 35 colors in 2022. The standard marker uses water-based pigment ink with broad and fine tips.
Why it does not look like a normal highlighter
Zebra originally developed Mildliner for gentle office highlighting, then the line became popular for decorating notes and planners because its colors are deliberately more subdued than classic neon highlighters.

How the 35-color lineup happened

How to choose your first set
Study
Choose gentle yellow, pink, blue and green shades that remain readable over text.
Planner
Beige, gray, dusty pink and olive tones create a calmer aesthetic.

Multiple color families make simple gradients and blocks easy.
You absolutely do not need all 35 colors. I would pick one five-color mood first — pastel, natural or cool — and only expand if you really use them.
