THE SHORT ANSWER

The used unit’s full model and included components matter more than the seller’s description of the product family.

Define the actual use

The used unit’s full model and included components matter more than the seller’s description of the product family.

Choose the intended destination and the exact unit, not a brand-wide answer. Identify what must work every day and what can be replaced locally.

Collect the unit and component evidence

Request a readable label image, the original manual reference and the exact charger or base model. A replacement power supply must be verified independently of the original specification.

Preserve each official source alongside the fact it supports. A marketplace claim can help locate a model, but it does not establish the manufacturer’s allowed operating conditions.

Decide before buying, packing or connecting

Check for missing labels, modifications and inconsistent accessories. Do not choose the most convenient rating when the unit and manual disagree; clarify the version first.

Japan’s representative supply is 100 V with 50/60 Hz regional differences. Compare the full input range and frequency with the actual destination, then check connector and grounding instructions independently.

Keep ownership requirements visible

Existing JMC evidence describes the documented model and permitted configuration. It does not inspect a used unit’s condition or establish that a repaired or modified unit remains in that configuration.

When a required field has not yet been established, retain that uncertainty. Do not borrow another model’s rating or let one successful voltage check imply complete compatibility.

  • Full unit and power-component model numbers.
  • Exact input voltage, frequency and selector conditions.
  • Manufacturer-permitted overseas use and accessories.
  • Local support, maintenance and required language or regional features.

MOVE FROM GENERAL GUIDANCE TO YOUR MODEL

Check the exact model.

Use the full model number on the unit or charger. Missing evidence is reported as insufficient information.

Models with current official facts

These records have enough current evidence for a model page. This list is not a compatibility endorsement.

Questions before use

Does this guide approve my exact product?

No. It explains the checks; a model-specific conclusion requires current official evidence for your full model number and destination.

What should I do when a required fact is missing?

Keep that requirement unresolved. Find the exact official manual or ask the manufacturer to clarify the model, component and intended use before connecting it.

Can an adapter resolve every requirement?

No. Connector fit, voltage, frequency, manufacturer support, warranty, repair and regional functions are separate questions.

Sources & Evidence

Guide examples are separate from the model evidence database. A source on this page does not automatically verify another model or manufacturer.

One model. One clear starting point.
