THE SHORT ANSWER

The camera body, battery and charger each have their own model numbers. The charger’s AC input answers the mains question; the battery voltage does not.

Define the actual use

The camera body, battery and charger each have their own model numbers. The charger’s AC input answers the mains question; the battery voltage does not.

Choose the intended destination and the exact unit, not a brand-wide answer. Identify what must work every day and what can be replaced locally.

Collect the unit and component evidence

Sony’s BC-QZ1 specification is a concrete 100–240 V, 50/60 Hz example. Apply that fact only when BC-QZ1 is the actual charger and the device/battery combination is permitted.

Preserve each official source alongside the fact it supports. A marketplace claim can help locate a model, but it does not establish the manufacturer’s allowed operating conditions.

Decide before buying, packing or connecting

Check the detachable cord or connector arrangement, charging instructions and exact battery support. A different charger in a seller’s bundle requires a separate source.

Japan’s representative supply is 100 V with 50/60 Hz regional differences. Compare the full input range and frequency with the actual destination, then check connector and grounding instructions independently.

Keep ownership requirements visible

Check device menu languages, local repair and any regional functions you depend on for photography. Battery carriage permission is a carrier requirement outside the voltage comparison.

When a required field has not yet been established, retain that uncertainty. Do not borrow another model’s rating or let one successful voltage check imply complete compatibility.

  • Full unit and power-component model numbers.
  • Exact input voltage, frequency and selector conditions.
  • Manufacturer-permitted overseas use and accessories.
  • Local support, maintenance and required language or regional features.

MOVE FROM GENERAL GUIDANCE TO YOUR MODEL

Check the exact model.

Use the full model number on the unit or charger. Missing evidence is reported as insufficient information.

Models with current official facts

These records have enough current evidence for a model page. This list is not a compatibility endorsement.

Questions before use

Does this guide approve my exact product?

No. It explains the checks; a model-specific conclusion requires current official evidence for your full model number and destination.

What should I do when a required fact is missing?

Keep that requirement unresolved. Find the exact official manual or ask the manufacturer to clarify the model, component and intended use before connecting it.

Can an adapter resolve every requirement?

No. Connector fit, voltage, frequency, manufacturer support, warranty, repair and regional functions are separate questions.

Sources & Evidence

Guide examples are separate from the model evidence database. A source on this page does not automatically verify another model or manufacturer.

One model. One clear starting point.

Search the database and review the actual evidence.
